AUDIO: Another Seat at the Table

The Green Party's presidential and vice-presidential nominees Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente are the first presidential ticket led by two women of color. But this is no symbolic or token campaign by a minor party.

The Democrats and Republicans have allowed corporate interests to dominate public policy making, and the interests of the people have been ignored.

The Green Party nominees say their bid to gain five percent of the vote this November isn't an alternative. It's imperative.

Cynthia McKinney as certainly updated her appearance to fit the role. But her running mate looks like she's running for coffeehouse barista.

In some cases I am glad that the dems and repos cater to "corporate interests." Corporations are collections of free people participating with other collections of free people, creating goods and services of value to each other. That's the best way for members of societies to organize themselves for the purposes of obtaining security, peace, and prosperity.

But I oppose, of course, all the special goodies that this or that corporation wins for itself. If these chicks win, those goodies would go away, but so would the corporations, and all the goods and services that they provide. If the libertarian dudes win, the goodies, they'll eliminate the goodies as well, but the corporations will thrive, as will the millions of Americans that compose them.

Those are the photos I chose for the posts. If her wardrobe is more important to you than her policies, check out her outfit from her VP acceptance speech at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=954208935711552749&q=rosa+clemente&ei=g_KRSOSAIYHe4ALDy8j_Bw

I hope you approve...

The Green Party doesn't want corporations to go away. What they want is a greater balance between the profiteers and regular people in the realm of policy making.

The Greens are not socialist. They just want fair trade and environmentally friendly conditions so that life on the planet is healthy and sustainable.

The human beings who run corporations should balance their need for profit with the good of their workers, their suppliers, their customers and the communities in which they do business. Often the exorbitant profits are reached by sacrificing the lives and/or well-being of others. That shit ain't right.

The libertarian ideal would be fine in a utopian state, but human beings have been shown to abuse other humans when given too much freedom. Communism would be fine in a utopian state, but human beings have been shown to abuse other humans when given too much power.

The Green Party advocates freedom for humans and protection of humans and of the environment. They don't want to abolish corporations. They simply want the humans who work for corporations to act like human beings instead of being so greedy that they endanger the life and well-being of others.

Very well said. I think I agree with it.

Very nice. What do you think? Don't you find it easier as a commentator to work in this manner?
